Did you know that if you live in the City of Oconto, you can have chickens in your backyard? If you've ever considered it, join us for this class, led by Scott Reuss, Agriculture Agent from the Oconto and Marinette County UW-Extension. The focus will be assisting Oconto residents in understanding the city's relatively new law allowing at-home, egg-laying flocks. The discussion will cover the concepts of breed selection, young bird management, housing options, laying bird management, and basic egg handling, problem diagnosis, and other topics. This class is free and no registration is required.
