Preschoolers and elementary age children are invited to sign up for the 2017 Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is "Build a Better World." Join us as we explore ways to make our world an even more amazing place, and log your reading time to earn great prizes! Library cards are required for participation (your first library card is free).
*Preschoolers and children having completed 5K will meet June 16, 23, 30, and July 14 at 10:30am.
*Children having completed 1st-4th grades will meet June 13, 20, 27, and July 11 at 1pm.
*All participants are invited to the June 13th session at 1pm for the New Zoomobile's library visit!
Jenifer Brady will teach this class about how to use essential oils and non-toxic products like vinegar, castile soap, and baking soda in cleaning products to help reduce chemical use and waste. Participants will have the option of making their own cleaning spray to take home. This class is free and no registration is required.
Jenifer is a student at Aromahead Institute studying for her aromatherapy certification, as well as a wellness advocate and essential oil educator with doTERRA International.

Oconto author Mary Grace Murphy will kick off our Spring Book Sale with a book signing & meet-and-greet to celebrate the release of Death Nosh. Death Nosh is the third book in the Noshes up North culinary mystery series, set in the fictional town of Bayshore. Mary Grace will have the entire series available for purchase and signing.
The event will begin with a presentation on raptors (birds of prey) at the Library led by David Hafmann, manager of the Oconto Marsh. A field trip to the marsh will follow at 6:15pm. If you can't make the 5:30pm presentation, feel free to join us at the marsh at 6:15pm.
Please bring your own field glasses; a limited number may be available. Participants will be responsible for their own transportation.
